Tell us what book, don't be shy :o)

toomz, vloženo 15:20:53  14. 06. 2009

I read now one book, I began during Christmas and now I am finishing... it is in Czech, but I am very lazy reader :)

Mellor, vloženo 00:27:38  13. 06. 2009

(Is obvious I didn't mean only Discworld books - I asked for every kind of literature, every genre. In general.)

Mellor, vloženo 00:24:38  13. 06. 2009

I thought that only I left this room.. but it died back itself! Hey, boyz and girlz, let's make some fun (as Bender always says) - Kiss my shiny metal ass!
So.
Do you like reading books - I suppose you read books. Taverna began because of fantasy literature, after all - in it's original language? I mean, is it better go throught (or survive) adventures with Rincewind in translation.. or you prefer to relish all these deadly events in english?
Maybe we already talked about it. Maybe not. My mind has gon- hm, it's short-term.. sometimes..

Mivka, vloženo 00:04:13  14. 01. 2009

Kroc- well I'm interested too though i don't know a thing about it :))

Legolas Craft, vloženo 21:45:35  13. 01. 2009

eatables... I guess it's something, that can be eaten :D

Kroc: well I'm really keen on getting some tips or clues on this one as well :) Somebody tell us more (did he have a car? :o) )

Arian, vloženo 21:21:15  13. 01. 2009

BTW today I came across the word "eatables" which also reminded me of this little conversation. It was a noun, though, not an adjective.

Kroc, vloženo 20:07:24  13. 01. 2009

hey, what about the "work abroad" topic? :o) I´m interested in too ;o)

Mellor, vloženo 19:02:49  13. 01. 2009

toomz: You suppose right :o))

Mivka, vloženo 15:39:23  13. 01. 2009

Arian- Yep, English fried sausages :) Mass destruction weapons :)) But they made very good beans from what I can remember :)

Dara, vloženo 09:29:14  13. 01. 2009

oh, I just realize, how big mess I have in english cooking :-/

I thought, that for porridge you must fry oat, like wen you make bechamel (czech "jíška")(this sentence is probably wrong, my mind don't work yet)

Arian, vloženo 00:49:42  13. 01. 2009

Mivka: Ah, really? I never had any problems with any foreign porridge-like stuff. On the other hand, those fried sausages I had to eat (out of politeness, you know) in Ireland nearly killed me. Yuck! Not to mention genuinely goo-like, incredibly oversalted muck they called pea mash. Or that mutton they gave me... Gee, that was something. I definitely don't want to try anything like that stuff again...

Mivka, vloženo 00:39:11  13. 01. 2009

Arian- well, I like porridge myself and very much. I often cook oat or buckwheat (?) or semolina (?) porridge... but we were talking about English breakfasts. And well... English porridge is goo! :)
When I first came to breakfast in England and looked at the grey gluey... thingy.. it was really incredible experience but it looked more like cement than like food :))

Arian, vloženo 00:38:11  13. 01. 2009

Legolas Craft: Well, I never said you had to :-)

Legolas Craft, vloženo 00:36:51  13. 01. 2009

Arian: ok, I know what you meant... exactly... well... I don't share your enthusiasm :D

Arian, vloženo 00:33:18  13. 01. 2009

It's a kind of cereal which we generally call "oves" :-)

Legolas Craft, vloženo 00:29:49  13. 01. 2009

Ok, lets go on... what is an oat? :D

You savages are pretty hard to understand :D

Arian, vloženo 00:21:25  13. 01. 2009

Legolas Craft: Mivka exaggerates :-) It's not really goo-like. Not much, anyway. It's what you get when you boil oats in milk (or in water, but I wouldn't reccomend this option). And one particular savage called Arian really likes it for breakfast too :-)

Mivka, vloženo 23:57:37  12. 01. 2009

LC: It's a goo-like thing... somewhere between solid and liquid... English savages eat it for breakfast :))

Legolas Craft, vloženo 23:16:45  12. 01. 2009

Arian... could you describe it? Sure, I coudl look it up in a dictionary, but why would I do it. It's a chance for you to practice :o).

BTW I hope I've used the correct spelling for practice (practise is the noun, isn't it?)
