Yeah, a typical English breakfast with all those fried oddities would certainly make me sick, but - even though most people find it absolutely disgusting - what I really love is porridge.

Mellor: I suppose you visited recently Banksy's website :)))
Klair: I cannot help you with that, I have no experience :(

Well, I am sorry but I am going to interupt your breakfast discussion. I wanna ask you about your experience of working abroad. I am considering going to England, Ireland or Netherlands for summer holiday and I am looking for some recomendation. Have you ever worked abroad? How did you find the accomodation? Was it legal or illegal? Did you pay tax? How?

Thanks for your help in advance :-)

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realised God doesn’t work that way, so I stole
one and prayed for forgiveness.

Everybody knows :o)

:-)) Actually, it was perfect when we were on holidays in Lake District.
We had full English breakfast around 9 in the morning and next time you remotly though of meal after the whole day of hiking was around 8 pm ;-))

verlit: I think typical English breakfast is something I would enjoy a lot. And it would be the only meal for the whole day or two :oD

verlit, vloženo 13:32:58  12. 01. 2009

Enjoy your meal :-)

Ok, thanks :)

Both eatable and edible words exist, but I have never heard "eatable" to be used by a native speaker. I don´t know if it is just "out of fashion", or extremely formal or what.

Frying egg is probably the best way to put it. Roast is mostly used for meat preparation - in oven or on spit.

I guess you misunderstood my question. I'm not asking how to make the last sentence on the first line better. I'm asking for a suitable verb - what do you do with an (my mistake in the previous post) egg on a frying pan...

And i'm not gonna make scrambled eggs 'cause I've got just one egg :)

And another question - edible vs. eatable... is there a difference, or eatable is total nonsense? Or what? :)

verlit, vloženo 13:17:07  12. 01. 2009

You are going to make scrambled eggs, your last edible thing :-)

Legolas Craft, vloženo 13:10:29  12. 01. 2009

Well... I'll have kind of english breakfast for dinner today. I'm gonna have A egg... the last eatable (at least I hope so) thing which I have left at the dormitory. :o)

I'm gonna... well, which one would be the most suitable verb? roast/fry/smtg else

I'll put it on a frying pan and make it roll :D

Dara: Yes, it is eggs, saussages or bacon and toasts. AND mushrooms, beans, black pudding and I forgot to mention roasted tomatoes :-))

Black pudding is similar to our prejt, it has nothing to do with X-mas pudding.

Dara, vloženo 11:51:04  12. 01. 2009

Really? English breakfast isnt eggs, sausages or beacon and toasts?

Is black puddding the same weird thing like x-mas pudding?

And how you call the fat in x-mas pudding?

Legolas: Damn it, same situation at my home :-D

Legolas Craft, vloženo 09:14:15  12. 01. 2009

verlit: gimme gimme... I want it :D

For explanation - there is nothing tasty to eat at home... somebody should go shopping :D

Tryde: stop watching adverts :D

verlit, vloženo 08:45:21  12. 01. 2009

Well, the true English breakfast would be saussages, beans, eggs, black pudding and mushrooms with toasts :-)

I had today english breakfast. It was milk with chocolate balls. I think english guys have that for breakfast.

Arian, vloženo 19:13:22  11. 01. 2009

A bit silly but nevertheless funny :-)
