Kroc: perfect :)

Aditu, vloženo 23:02:16  09. 03. 2008

well, watchi TTT was without comments ... maybe because it was within a con where everyone wanted to enjoy the movie ... but RotK was a horror for me ... a group of little kids screaming evertime a skurut was on a scene. well at least their parents took them and went away after one hour :)

maybe the best comment I've ever heard is "what is this movie about, honey?" :D some female voice, she apparently fell asleep or I do not know ... :D

Kroc, vloženo 23:01:54  09. 03. 2008

Aditu: ok, i try to not to take it personally :o))

verlit, vloženo 22:57:24  09. 03. 2008

Arian: I seem to have very similar experience with group of giggly girls in TTT. I shouted at them nastily and it worked :-)

I am normally quite pleasant to strangers but if somebody feels necessary to comment what is happening on screen, I am able to be VERY agressive. If I want to watch movie with simultaneous commentary, I would watch it with Polish voiceover :-))))

What I particullary like are comments like: "What is he doing?" "He is going inside!" or "Oh my God, she is going to be killed." In such cases, the viewer is lucky when sitting far enough from me not to be killed herself/himself.

Aditu, vloženo 22:47:51  09. 03. 2008

Mostly if I visit a cinema willing to watch a good movie, I have to go alone, because my friends usually do comment movies. maybe not every scene, but even so ... if you hear every 5 minutes some comment it is simply ... disturbing. I consider such behaviour as highly rude and impolite. And rudness and lack of politness is much worse for me than if you steal something (which is pretty rude as well) ... sometiomes it seems to me that I am half japanese :)

It is nothing personal against you, Kroc, but I think that such behaviour in cinema is essential barbarism.

Vever, vloženo 22:32:40  09. 03. 2008

I saw V for Vendeta and there was also some group of people with ironic commentaries about everything. When they were leaving, they were dissapointed from (or is there about?) the film. And it's a really good one, only it's necessary to watch it right way.

Arian, vloženo 22:03:56  09. 03. 2008

Oh yes, lots of movies can be completely ruined by such ill-mannered individuals. The scariest experience with such people I ever had was during the screening of The Two Towers - a bunch of girls sitting about three rows ahead of me kept on chatting, giggling, writing text messages, receiving phone calls, rustling with popcorn, slurping their drinks and behaving like idiots. That's what I call a true barbarism...

Kroc, vloženo 21:51:32  09. 03. 2008

So I would like to see you in Indian cinema :o)) I don´t know why I can´t comment film with some good suggestion. Yes, of course I turn off my mobile and I don´t comment every detail on the sreen, but sometimes I can´t just shut up :o)

toomz, vloženo 21:30:51  09. 03. 2008

Well I can clearly remember movies, which has been totaly ruined just because somebody near me was chatting. You know, I even turn off my mobile phone, not to disturb anybody. And in addition my girlfriend already discovered, that it is impossible for her to take some popcorn to the cinema-hall :) I know that people just come in and out, they can barely see each other, but still...

So please Kroc, I ask you in the name of every cinema visitor... DO NOT SPEAK THERE ANYMORE, FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! :)

Vever, vloženo 21:08:46  09. 03. 2008

There are films which are made for watching them in group of people and commenting everything, but there are not many of them.

Arian, vloženo 21:06:26  09. 03. 2008

I prefer to watch movies on my computer (usually on my laptop) and with headphones on - nobody bothers you with talking (sorry, Kroc, but I am not very fond of hearing loads of comments during the film, either) and you can fully enjoy the show.

Vever, vloženo 21:04:55  09. 03. 2008

I would join...Maybe we can make two groups of cinema visitors - speakers and non-speakers.

Aditu, vloženo 20:30:52  09. 03. 2008

So I am glad that we have never been in one cinema, in one room, watching one movie together. I am sorry, but I would have to kill you, Kroc ... I do not like commenting "all on screen" even when watching home TV/DVD :)

Kroc, vloženo 19:54:15  09. 03. 2008

I´m sorry but I can´t help myself. I must comment the movie and I know that I annoying people but i try to whisper :o) They also annyoing me, because the are quiet :o)

Kroc, vloženo 19:49:52  09. 03. 2008

I don´t like going to the cinema, because every time somebody is telling me not to speak during the movie :o)

Vever, vloženo 18:15:35  09. 03. 2008

Aditu: People comenting all on the scren...I hate them too. I even stood up once to tell one group if they could be so nice and stop talking. And I'm very shy person.

Aditu, vloženo 18:02:03  09. 03. 2008

And I guess I owe you a movie quote ... so, here it is:

A: When this is over, we have to pay Jabba the Hutt here a visit.
B: I'll bring the chainsaw.
A: I'll bring the beer.

Aditu, vloženo 18:00:06  09. 03. 2008

I voted for cinema as well ... but it has to be at least from half empty :) there is only few things I hate more than a full cinema with crying and screaming kids, people commenting all on the screen, eating popcorn or such kind of eadable things ... but if it is half empty or you are almost alone there ... wow, that is something for me ...

Vever, vloženo 16:45:43  09. 03. 2008

I voted for cinema too. I like the sound, the big screen and it's quite intresting to stand just next to the screen during final titles watching the letters disappearing just above my head.

toomz, vloženo 11:44:04  09. 03. 2008

Wow, but these are quite interesting results! I voted for cinema. I love the ritual of buying tickets, finding seats, watching other people and then enjoying, that everyone in the hall is watching the same thing :) And then of course you can chat about actual movies with friends in pub :) On second place is watching films with my girlfriend - we mostly join this with a dinner, so we prepare something really extra and then watch the movie on notebook.

Sort of special watching is also in train. I am now often on the road and I have my lovely 13,3 inch notebook that fits my bag :) That is also great - when you travel by night just alone, watch some new movies...
