Bellatrix: I wouldn't say so. I just cannot distinguish between what's/who's famous by standards of normal people and what's/who's famous by standards of a bizzare maverick like myself :-)

Your guess is quite correct, by the way.

Bellatrix, vloženo 20:59:16  02. 03. 2008

(but I still have no idea. I guess it is something about World War II... :o))

Bellatrix, vloženo 20:58:46  02. 03. 2008

:o) Do not feel guilty, on the other hand! You are broadening our horizons :o)

Arian, vloženo 20:17:35  02. 03. 2008

Well then;
GSP: "In ten days, I'll have a war on with those Communist bastards, and I'll make it look like their fault."

Which well-known person was actually known to think of his (official, anyway) allies in such an amiable way? :-)

Is my point of view in the matter what is famous and what isn't really that skewed? I suppose it is. Perhaps I shouldn't ask any questions in any quizzes of this kind any more... (feeling slightly guilty :-)

Bellatrix, vloženo 19:54:45  02. 03. 2008

No idea

Arian, vloženo 22:12:56  01. 03. 2008

Good grief, you haven't? I thought it was pretty famous... For those who didn't give up guessing yet, here's another quote:

P: You know what the poet said:

“Through the travail of ages
It’s the pomp and toils of war
Have I fought and strove and perished
Countless times upon the star
As if through a glass and darkly
The age-old strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names – but always me.“

You know who the poet was? Me.

That should make it quite clear. For those who have seen the film, anyway :-) Another little hint: It's a biography.

verlit, vloženo 21:22:40  01. 03. 2008

Aditu: :-))) I did the same, I admit. But I haven´t heard about the film either :-(

Aditu, vloženo 20:26:44  01. 03. 2008

I have to admitt that I used Google. I was so damn curious which movie this quote is from. And I've found out that I have never seen the movie ... not even heard about it. Really difficult.

Bellatrix, vloženo 19:58:59  01. 03. 2008

Vever: it reminded me Good Omens too, but I think Crowley (or what was his name?) loved twentieth century.

I think I have heard it in some film but I cannot remember.
Can you, Arian, give us a hint? Another quote from the same film?

Arian, vloženo 23:30:15  29. 02. 2008

Vever: I wouldn't worry - neither do I :-)

Vever, vloženo 23:29:16  29. 02. 2008

And don´t mind my pointless remarks, I don´t know films well enough to try to guess something.

Meridion, vloženo 23:18:42  29. 02. 2008

Give them more time. (I have no idea.)

Arian, vloženo 23:13:55  29. 02. 2008

It's not from any sci-fi, nor fantasy movie. Another quote?

Vever, vloženo 23:01:17  29. 02. 2008

It reminds me Good Omens, the book. But if I remember it correctly, Crowley hated sixteenth century.

Arian, vloženo 23:00:20  29. 02. 2008

No, it's not from Highlander nor anything of that kind. No time travelling at all, by the way. Do you want another quote, then?

Bellatrix, vloženo 22:58:11  29. 02. 2008

Yes, indeed. I guess it is either about a time travel or some fantasy with beings with very long life.
What about Highlander, or something like that?
This is just a gues, you don't have to tell me if I guessed it right. I am sure somewone will know.

Vever, vloženo 22:55:36  29. 02. 2008

Whatever it is, it sounds interesting.

Bellatrix, vloženo 22:51:00  29. 02. 2008

Aaaaah... I know this, I know this... but what the hell is it?!

verlit, vloženo 22:26:17  29. 02. 2008

No idea :-(

Arian, vloženo 22:11:51  29. 02. 2008

What about this one, then:

P: "God, how I hate the twentieth century."
